The Friends of Bellevue State Park is a 501(c)(3) non profit volunteer based organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the scenic, historic and wildlife values of the park through dialog, volunteering, education and fundraising. 

Friends of Bellevue State Park​

We are a group of volunteers interested in supporting Bellevue State Park, its programs and historical preservation.

What are some of our projects?

  • The Music Garden – a hardscape and landscaped feature including a beautiful mosaic at the Arts Center, which will provide a venue for performing arts, relaxation and reflection.
  • Restoration of the historic Parsonage and Meeting House and cemetery (located off Philadelphia Pike)
  • Summer evening Concerts series
  • Camp scholarships for kids
  • Support school programs
  • Provide the funding for summer interns
  • Disc Golf improvements and clinics for kids 
  • Fishing tournaments, Big Pond Education
  • Big Pond water quality project
  • Organized state wide Friends group for Standards of Excellence, advocacy and communication
  • Photography
  • Adopt a Trail and Adopt a Highway programs
  • Woofstock
  • Support to Park staff (yearly retreat, summer picnics, winter holiday event)

Fund Raisers

  • Wood bundling (Second Saturday of the month, 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Percheron Barn (near the community gardens) 
  • Summer Concerts – sell 50/50 raffle tickets (First hour of the concert)
  • Rock at Bellevue – with the Philly Party Band - scheduled for September 4, 2016
  • Special events – “Party on the Patio” – June and August, more details to come
  • Bellevue scenes note cards with photos by Board member and renown photographer, Richard Albertson

Volunteer Opportunities:

We are ALWAYS looking for new Friends, interested in volunteering on a project, making a contribution, becoming a member, working on a committee or joining the Friends Board of Directors.
